Is Greynola Free? | No Cost to Join, Create & Earn
Everything you need to know about Greynola's pricing model and what you get for free.
Yes — creating a creator account on Greynola is completely free. There are no subscription fees, no premium tiers, no hidden costs, and no credit card required to sign up. Every feature available to creators on the platform is accessible from the moment you create your account.
This is not a freemium model where the free version is limited and the real features sit behind a paywall. Greynola's creator experience is fully free because the platform's revenue comes from the filmmaker and studio side of the business, not from creators.
What You Get for Free
With a free Greynola account, you have full access to every active mission on the platform. You can browse missions, submit content, earn points, climb the leaderboard, and qualify for Prize Pool tickets — all without spending anything.
You can also launch your own fan missions around any film or TV title you love. There is no cost to create a mission, and if other creators submit to your mission, you earn a share of Greynola's monthly revenue through the Creator Share program.
Your account includes a full creator profile, submission history tracking, point and ticket tracking, leaderboard ranking, and access to the notification system that alerts you to new missions, scoring updates, and reward announcements.
There are no limits on how many missions you can submit to, how many fan missions you can create, or how many points you can earn. The platform does not throttle free accounts or restrict access to higher-value missions based on payment status.
Why Greynola Is Free for Creators
Greynola's business model is built around providing value to filmmakers and studios. When a filmmaker submits a project to Greynola and runs a mission campaign, the filmmaker pays for the campaign activation. That revenue funds the platform, the prize pools, and the Creator Share distributions.
Creators are the product's core asset. Without creators producing content, Greynola has nothing to offer filmmakers. Charging creators would reduce the size and quality of the creator network, which would reduce the value of the platform for everyone. Keeping the creator side free is not charity — it is a strategic decision that makes the entire ecosystem work.
This model aligns incentives across the platform. Creators earn more when they produce better content. Filmmakers get more value when more creators participate. And Greynola grows when both sides are active. Everyone benefits from the same activity.
Are There Any Paid Features?
Greynola does offer optional paid features on the mission side through the Boost system. Boost allows creators to purchase additional visibility and promotional features for their fan missions — things like featured placement, extended duration, and priority positioning in the mission feed.
These Boost features are entirely optional and do not affect your ability to earn points, submit to missions, or qualify for rewards. They exist for creators who want to amplify missions they have created, not as a requirement for participation.
On the filmmaker side, submitting a project and running a campaign does involve costs that vary based on the scope and scale of the campaign. These costs are paid by filmmakers and studios, not by creators.
No Hidden Costs or Gotchas
There are no transaction fees taken from creator earnings. When you qualify for a Creator Share distribution or win a Prize Pool prize, you receive the full amount. Greynola does not take a percentage cut from creator payouts.
There is no trial period. Your free account does not expire or downgrade after a certain number of days. There is no pressure to upgrade because there is nothing to upgrade to. The free creator account is the only creator account type.
You will never receive a notification telling you that a feature you have been using is now behind a paywall. The platform is designed so that creators never have to pay to participate, earn, or grow on Greynola.
